In mid-August 2021, the newest Mercedes-Benz for women was unveiled. MERCEDES-BENZ WOMAN IN RED follows two previous editions for women, Mercedes-Benz Woman Eau de Toilette and Mercedes-Benz Woman Eau de Parfum, both were released in 2016. The new fragrance in the striking red bottle “encapsulates the very essence of femininity”.

MERCEDES-BENZ WOMAN IN RED is for a self-confident, strong woman who is aware of her charms. Glamorous and ultra-feminine, she succeeds in everything she ventures in. Like choosing her perfume.

Created by a woman for women, Woman In Red has a floral, woody resinous composition. Celebrated master perfumer Honorine Blanc followed her intuition and her love of beautiful things to compose this exceptional bouquet.

“To envelop its heart of white flowers, namely Arabian jasmine and gardenia, I chose the freshness and vitality of mandarin and pear, a few cherry blossom petals, and a hint of pistachio.” – Honorine said.

And to enhance her creation, she added the indulgence of tonka bean and benzoin, the smoothness of patchouli, and the depth of sandalwood. This sensual and elegant fragrance leaves a unique and radiant sillage behind every woman who wears it.


Focus on Arabian jasmine…
This is one of the oldest flowers cultivated by mankind. Native to the Tamil Nadu province in India, Arabian jasmine is traditionally used as personal decoration, to create welcome garlands, and as offerings in temples. To preserve the power of its scent, the buds are harvested by hand in the early morning and are spread out on the ground, where the workers watch the buds bloom before extracting their unique essence.

The Woman In Red bottle is an object of desire that reproduces the curved form of its predecessors, but red in color and with an ultra-glossy sheen. Like passion-red lips, it echoes the name of the fragrance. Set in its center is the logo of the iconic brand with a passion for perfumery. Mercedes-Benz has added yet another must-have to this collection that celebrates the beauty of women.


The newest fragrance of the Mercedes-Benz Woman line, Woman In Red is already available as a 30ml, 60ml, and 90ml Eau de parfum in the Douglas stores.

I have only tried, and own, MB Black, which is one of my favorite dark woodsy vanillas. My husband loves it on me. I really want to buy Red now.

@MichelleAntonia the bottle is made of glass covered with plastic, and it is transparent through Mercedes-Benz sign, colored in red this time. I love it, especially because I am fond of red perfume bottles :))) Yes, under the upper part is a sprayer, so it is a cap. I will take now some photos of the pink ones I have and add it to my Fragram soon. I like Mercedes bottles for their ergonomic shape; many perfume flacons on the market are very awkward and uncomfortable in the hand, this one suits well.


@Fragrantguy It’s not that women hate men. It’s that they recognize you for the [redacted] that you are. Stop being reactionary and hateful and you’ll get a more pleasant response.

Is the top half the cap? What does the spray mechanism look like? I can see the color exactly matches the car color, but everything else about the design is not very appealing…

Habit Rouge Eau de Toilette


I hate being always the hater, but seriously: this is so tacky. I am sure the scent and the customers deserve better. The bottle has the shape of a weird adult toy, the aspirational Gilda-like lady… I wonder what the marketers were thinking about the target group.


I don’t understand how Mercedes offered its brand for a perfume license. The person in charge must be ashamed seeing the result.

Looks super tacky

Bottle is overly tacky.
Really, all that plastic in an era when everybody tries to cut down on plastic and polluting hydrocarbons?

The notes seem ok, I’ll try this in my next trip to the perfume shop… but the ad is totally out of sync: seems like we are thrown back in the Eighties.
It may be a strategy (?), but in my opinion a totally un-winning one, unless your target is an audience of nostalgic 50+ aged people. (Not judging that age group – God forbid- as i am in there as well: just saying that the audience for a mass market perfume should address the mass or a the widest possible amount of people, not a restricted group).

I guess all the marketing concept was discussed over a couple of Zoom meetings and the line was not functioning well…..


Blackberry & Bay


The notes sound nice enough (pistachio!) but this bottle is really just terrible. The pink one they had was awful, too, even worse in real life than on pictures, but for some reason the bright red color makes it worse.

Isabey Lys Noir


The notes sound pretty enough for me to try. The bottle looks retro weird, but could turn out to be one of those it’s so bad it’s good designs.

Paloma Picasso Eau de Toilette


The bottle is awful. They should’ve just kept it a smooth egg shape.
