Atkinsons London 24 Old Bond Street

Text
I obtained bored of my individual fragrance so I dipped into everyone else’s, but my favorite was this Atkinson’s 24 Old Bond St. which I gave to my father numerous a long time ago. It is a refreshing blend that’s not aquatic or citrusy but even now clean. The main notes to my nose are cardamom and black tea, with a good dose of ambergris when it heats up a bit. The ambergris adds a saltiness to the tea, and a little bit of zing to what would if not be a boring aquatic. This is seaside and seashells, but also a bit of musk that allows it very last for a longer period, sweetens up the saline a bit, bolsters every thing else.

My dad’s overview is that this was good but it dropped its luster just after a few wears.

Did it go terrible?

No, it just stopped currently being excellent in a way that never takes place to the Polo’s and Boss’s.

Individually, I imagine it is the ambergris. I uncover that ambergris fatigues my nose and I just cannot use it very a lot, undoubtedly not day after working day, and I wouldn’t be shocked if my dad’s nose is the very same.

Anyway, I offered to acquire this just about-vacant bottle off his arms and he reported no way, my daughter gave it to me so I’m wearing just about every very last fall.

If you go on Fragrantica there are some hilarious assessments including a single that idealized the British Raj, and no, this does not scent like the best of colonial periods irrespective of the tea and cardamom notes. I experienced to read through the review out loud to my dad, and we could not end laughing, and then he stated, I guess this what all you fragrance writers do. Uh, what?

In any case, this is unisex with great longevity, and it was a enjoyment for me to dress in here and there. I would not even mind owning a bottle.
